Screening for Depression in Teenagers
Two important articles appear in the April edition of Pediatrics. The United States Preventive Services Task Force has recommended that all teenagers be screened for depression. In order to treat children who are identified this way, the task force emphasizes the importance educating pediatricians and family physicians on how to care for children with mental illness.
