Adults Not Getting Enough Sleep?

A study released by the CDC shows that 10 percent of adults may not be getting enough sleep or rest in the past month. The study surveyed adults in four states--Delaware, Hawaii, New York and Rhode Island. An extimated 50-70 million people suffer from chronic sleep loss and sleep disorders.

If you suffer from chronic insomnia, it is important to have a full medical evaluation to determine the cause. Insomnia may be associated with health problems, including sleep apnea, obesity and depression. In order to treat insomnia, the underlying cause needs to be determined and addressed. This includes assessing behavior patterns which may be contributing to the insomnia.
