Lowering the Drinking Age?

A group of college presidents, including those at Duke, Johns Hopkins and Middlebury, have endorsed the Amethyst Initiative, a group of college and university presidents that state that "21 is not working." This group states that the higher drinking age of 21 encourages binge drinking because students are more apt to drink alcohol "secretly" off campus.

Btw, amethyst means "not intoxicated" in Ancient Greek.
